Often times I am asked for tips and tricks for packing and planning for a Disneyland trip. Going to Disneyland (or any theme park for that matter) definitely gets easier the more you do it. There is a learning curve to a trip like this for sure.

Here are 3 things that I can recommend you either pack, or purchase before your trip to make it a bit easier.

Discounted Theme Park Tickets

You heard me right! The question I get asked the most, by far, is “do Disneyland tickets ever go on sale or discount?”. Typically through Disney, they do not. However, many years ago I discovered my new favorite partners, Undercover Tourist.

This is a legitimate company that is licensed to sell theme park tickets all over the country, and will save you a little bit of money.

Now, don’t expect to ever get tickets for half off or any crazy discount, but you can typically save $30 per ticket per person and every little bit counts in my opinion. Click this link below to visit their site and start shopping.

Once you’ve purchased your tickets, you’ll immediately get them sent to you via email and you can then link them to your Disney account and start making your reservations. I’ve used them countless times and can vouch that it is legitimate and safe. They also offer tickets to Walt Disney World, Universal, and many more fun experiences.

Pack a Portable Charger

Let’s face it, these days we rely on our phones for everything on vacation and Disney especially requires it. When you’re using the Disneyland app to make your dining reservations, Genie+ selections, or just taking pictures and videos of the memories being made, you’re going to burn through that battery.

While the parks do offer the FuelRod exchangable chargers, I haven’t found them to be hearty enough for what I need. They don’t seem to charge my phone full or fast enough.

I learned a couple of years ago to just pack my own portable charger in my backpack and always have it with me.

I’ve fallen in love with the Anger chargers you can easily find on Amazon. They have many different sizes and capacities. I’ve carried around this one for a while now and it can charge multiple phones a day.

Pack a Rechargeable Fan

Any theme park can get hot in the summer time, and Disneyland has the luxury of being a warm climate about 9 months out of the year. All the way up until about December, it’s nice and sunny and can get a little hot standing in the queues.

I found these little portable fans a couple years ago and they are a game changer for me. Plus, they are rechargeable so you don’t have to worry about changing batteries, ever!

I hope any of these tips and tricks helped you a little bit. Please let me know if you have any questions about your upcoming trips!
