Anakeesta, Tennessee: A Mountain Oasis for Adventure and Relaxtion

Nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Anakeesta is a remarkable destination in Gatlinburg, Tennessee that offers visitors an enchanting blend of outdoor adventure, breathtaking views, and immersive natural beauty. This mountaintop attraction is a testament to the majesty of the region and has something for everyone, from nature enthusiasts and thrill-seekers to those seeking a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A Scenic Journey to the Top

Anakeesta's adventure begins even before you reach the mountaintop. Visitors are treated to a scenic Chondola ride, which is a combination of chairlift and gondola, offering stunning views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains. The journey is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself.

Enchanted Firefly Village

Upon reaching the summit, guests are greeted by Anakeesta's charming Firefly Village. The village is designed to resemble a quaint mountain town, complete with unique shops, restaurants, and beautiful gardens. It's a wonderful place to explore, shop for souvenirs, and indulge in delicious mountain cuisine.

Treetop Skywalk and Canopy Walk

For those looking to get closer to nature, Anakeesta offers the Treetop Skywalk and Canopy Walk. The Treetop Skywalk is a series of 16 connected sky bridges that allow visitors to traverse the treetops with ease. The Canopy Walk provides an immersive journey through the forest, making you feel like you're walking among the trees.

This was one of my most favorite parts of Anakeesta as we literally got to walk through the tree tops on bridges. It was gorgeous.

Dueling Zipline Adventure

Thrill-seekers will be delighted by the Dueling Zipline Adventure at Anakeesta. With side-by-side ziplines that offer exhilarating views of the Smoky Mountains, it's an experience that will get your heart racing. The course features five ziplines and covers a distance of over 2,500 feet, ensuring an unforgettable adventure.

Anakeesta's AnaVista Tower

The AnaVista Tower is a crowning jewel at Anakeesta. Standing at 60 feet tall, this observation tower provides unparalleled panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. It's the perfect spot to witness the magic of the sunrise or sunset, offering an ever-changing tapestry of colors.

Gardens and Natural Beauty

Nature lovers will appreciate the lush gardens and natural beauty that surrounds Anakeesta. The attraction is committed to preserving the environment and features beautiful landscaping that showcases the region's flora and fauna.

And I stumbled upon my newest favorite friend, Willow, seen here.

Evening Entertainment

As the sun sets over the Smokies, Anakeesta offers evening entertainment, including live music and the beautiful illumination of Firefly Village. It's a tranquil way to end the day, savoring the beauty of the mountains under the starry night sky.

Seasonal Experiences

Anakeesta changes with the seasons, offering various events and activities throughout the year. From the vibrant fall foliage to the enchanting holiday lights, there's always something special happening on the mountaintop.

Top of the world

The Cliffside Restaurant seen here, was delicious and had the most incredible view from the top of the mountain.
